VIRTUAL LEARNING CENTER
In partnership with Hamilton County Schools, Girls Inc. of Chattanooga will operate as a Virtual Learning Center this Fall.
This page will be updated with information from HCDE as it is available.

About the Center
To support families participating in HCS At Home or in Cohort A and Cohort B during phase 2, we are proud to open our doors as a Virtual Learning Center.
In this small group setting, our trained staff will guide students in their full-time remote learning. Girls will find a safe and supportive environment to help them succeed.

Why girls only? At Girls Inc. of Chattanooga, we inspire and equip all girls to be strong, smart and bold. Traditionally, we offer in-school and out-of-school programs to help girls learn to value their whole selves, discover and develop their inherent strengths, and receive the support they need to navigate the challenges they face. To address the academic needs of our girls during this time, we have adapted our model to offer full-day support during this virtual learning period.
-
Is this a replacement for Hamilton County At Home? No, the virtual learning center is designed to support girls in their virtual school work. A trained staff member will supervise each classroom and guide students in their learning. All instruction and curriculum are provided by the district to your child. We are here to support girls and give working parents some peace of mind.
-
What is the cost? The cost for each girl is $25/week.
-
Will Girls Inc. offer their traditional selection of afterschool programs? Yes, we still offer afterschool programs for girls ages 6-18. This programming is separate from our Virtual Learning Center; students may participate in the Virtual Learning Center, afterschool programs or both. However, enrollment in one does not guarantee enrollment in the other and we anticipate that spots will fill quickly. A variety of afterschool programs are offered Monday-Thursday from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Stay tuned for more details regarding enrollment. For specific questions, email sdoss@girlsincofchatt.org.
