LOCAL GIRLS INC. OF CHATTANOOGA ALUMANE, KAYLEA MOORE WINS NATIONAL RECOGNITION Kaylea Moore has been selected for Girls Inc. National Brand


Ambassador Council and received National Advocate of the Year-Girl Division.


CHATTANOOGA, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29TH- Girls Inc. of Chattanooga is proud to announce that local Girls Inc. alumnae Kaylea Moore has been selected from hundreds of applicants for the Girls Inc. National Brand Ambassador Council and National Advocate of the Year-Girl Division. Kaylea is a 3 year Girls Inc. of Chattanooga participant in the IMPACT program. IMPACT helps to improve health care quality and delivery by engaging teens in prevention and education. Through conversations between teens and healthcare professionals, participants are learning about their power to positively impact the health of our teen community. IMPACT participants present their findings to over 300 students through peer-to-peer advocacy. Because of this work, Kaylea plans to pursue a degree in Political Science with a minor in Post-Secondary Education and Administration. She is currently a freshman enrolled at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

As a Girls Inc. National Brand Ambassador, Kaylea will receive a stipend, a network of new relationships, and opportunities to meet and work with experts that will help her establish a more refined personal brand. Kaylea will meet with Girls Inc. National President and CEO, Stephanie J. Hull, and Director of Marketing, Veronica Vela monthly. She will participate in Girls Inc. interviews and share her Girls Inc. story by writing copy, giving public speeches and by making videos promoting the Girls Inc. mission. Kaylea in her new role as Girls Inc. National Brand Ambassador where she gave a speech to Girls Inc. affiliates from across the country. During the national conference, Kaylea was also awarded Advocate of the Year-Girl Division for her student-led activism and call to action regarding the deplorable conditions of her high school. This award category was open to all 77 Girls Inc. affiliates. Girls Inc. of Chattanooga nominated Kaylea Moore and is thrilled she was selected. “We are so proud of Kaylea for being selected as a Girls Inc.
